Howdy!!

Howdy, ya’ll!!

For those of you not in the know, I am somewhere in the South. No, not Texas.

I was talking to Nisha a while ago, and suddenly this inspiration hit me. Not everyone appreciated it.

Me: Hey, do you realize, that in those books about brain-taking-over alien worms from space, the brain-taking-over alien worms from space tend to reproduce by killing themselves?

Nisha: No.

Apparently, I’m the only one who reads books like that. Wow. It makes me feel like a geek. That’s why I’m into fantasy now.

It’s my birthday on Wednesday. Feel free to send me presents.

My new favorite show is Wizards of Waverly Place. It’s really funny. I used to think it had bad acting, but it’s a pretty good show.

I can’t think of anything else to say. Here’s a quote:

“The best way to get a good quote is to make it up yourself.”

P.S.  Here at Star12, we do not support the recent Supreme Court decision on Washington’s handgun ban!!!

And another…

June 7, 2008

Well, here I am again. Did anyone one miss me? Probably not. Whatever. I’m posting again.

I’ve noticed that if you want to be seen as witty, making a joke at your own expense seems to work.

um.. can’t think of anything else to write on that topic. On to the next!!!

For all of you not in the know, I got a new shirt with and interesting saying on it. Here it is: Life is tough. And it’s going to get tougher…After I beat you.

Beat you in softball. Diamonds are a girl’s best friend. Softball diamonds, that is.

Anyway, here is a book review that, in my opinion, kicks butt.

Breaking Dawn- preview

This reminds me of all the other Twilight books. Despite the semi- different plot lines there is a trait they all share: they are all depressing.

By the end of the first page, your impression of Bella’s world is gray and rainy. Everyone is tired and sad. it kind of makes you want to sit down and stare off into the distance.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m sure Breaking Dawn is a wonderful book. I plan to read it. But I know I won’t get through it in one sitting. Stephanie Meyer’s “oh-my-god, I’m so in love with you” meets “sigh…being a vampire is so hard…my life is a constant void of depression” just doesn’t click with me.

Breaking Dawn comes out August 2.

My book wish list:

Pendragron (#9)

The Clique: Bratfest at Tiffany’s

That series with Percy Jackson (#4)

and others that I’m too bored to name.

Don’t worry. The next post will be more entertaining.
